Outdoor Sport Institute's Leader Education Workshops are designed for coaches, program leaders, volunteers, parents, PE teachers, and others interested in learning more about outdoor sport education, and enhancing their skills to make a difference in their own communities.
Their workshops follow a two to three-day format with day one featuring classroom topics on the foundation of training philosophy and physiology, season planning and strategy, and subsequent days covering technique-specific skills. This workshop will cover cross-country skiing, both skate and classic techniques. For that reason, this workshop will run three days with one full day dedicated to each technique. Participants may opt to attend both technique days or just one.
Days two and three (January 20 and 21) will be on-snow at Quarry Road.
