Middle School Ski Team: Grades 5-8

Open to students from all area schools, grades 5-8, who are ready to commit to a more structured team atmosphere focused on building fitness and improving skills.

This is a fun racing team, but committed newcomers are welcome. It is expected that participants will come to all practices with similar expectations of attendance that you would find in other teams for athletes in this age group.

The team practices every Mon, Tues, Thursday 3:15-4:30 with a race schedule TBD of 5-6 races.  The season runs from Nov. 30th through February 13th, with continuation through March NENSA BKL Festival in Gorham, NH encouraged for all. Families work together to transport skiers to races.

Fee is $85 for the 2016-17 season.  Fees do not include season passes that are required for all skiers ages 7 and up.

At this level purchasing gear is highly recommended.  Northern Lights in Farmington helps out all club members with team pricing.  Call ahead at 778-6566. Or lease skis at www.nensa.net/skis — $60 for the season but order early before they run out! (Note that these skis are great for new skiers and recreational club members, but not of the quality that most will want for racing.)

High School Ski Team: Grades 9-12

A training program will be developed along with on-site coaching.  Competitions will include events throughout the state with other high school teams.  For those who qualify, the season will culminate with the NENSA U16 Championships!

The season runs from November 9th through February 14th

Fee remains at $150 for the upcoming season.  Fees do not include season passes that are required for all skiers ages 7 and up.
