Quarry Road Trails disc golf is open for the 2024 season!
Disc Golf
Quarry Road Trails features a full 18 hole course with 2 tee positions at each hole.
Season
The disc golf course opens in mid to late May, when the ground in the meadow areas has dried out, and stays open until early November, when we start making snow for skiing.
The Course
Holes 1, 3-9 and 18 are in our rolling meadow areas. Holes 2 and 10-17 are completely wooded from tee to basket on the East Pine Tree (hole 2) and North Koons (holes 10-17) cross-country ski trails.
The tee positions enable players to enjoy 2 different layouts: a beginner “red layout” about 5,000 feet long, and an advanced “blue layout” of about 8,000 feet.
The course has been thoughtfully designed to mesh nicely with our diverse user groups at Quarry Road Trails, and follows Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) recommended lengths and par guidelines appropriate for the skill level each layout was intended for. It was also intentionally designed so that the meadow holes (1-9 & as a bonus hole 18 as well) can be played on their own for those not looking to play the woods holes, or for quicker rounds. The course is very cart friendly.
Scorecard
Scorecards are available at the Quarry Road Welcome Center yurt.
About Disc Golf
For those unfamiliar with disc golf it uses the same rules as golf but is played with plastic discs instead of a ball and clubs and uses a basket with chains as the target instead of a hole. The object of the game is to complete each hole on the course by throwing a plastic disc into the basket in the fewest number of throws possible.
