Hello Runners!

8/1/23 will feature a special edition of the Quarry Road Trails Summer Running Series: The Dirt Road Mile.  The set up is a little different than other races in the Summer Running Series. This race is a standalone event in the Series and does not count toward overall series standings. There is no Kids Fun Run at this event.  RACE START IS AT 6:00PM, bib pick up closes at 5:40pm at the yurt.

Registration and bib pickup:  Please register here online ahead of the event.  All runners who are signed up for the full series are automatically registered for the Dirt Road Mile.  Runners must register and pick up their bib at the Yurt prior to 5:40pm.  

Race course:  Here is the Strava map of the course.  The race starts under the I-95 southbound overpass, follows Quarry Road north to the Yurt parking lot, stays straight on the Davis Trail, and then turns left on Charlie's Outer Loop, before turning left and heading straight to the normal finish line by the Yurt.  The course is ~1mi, and is mostly flat.  The road will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event.

Getting to the start line + Parking:  This is a point-to-point race.  Runners must get themselves from the Yurt to the start line in a timely manner.  There is limited parking close to the start line.  Please try to park near the Yurt / finish line,  and warm up on the road / River Trail to the start line.  Racers are allowed to drive and carpool to the start area, but please only do this if necessary and drive slow as there will be increased foot-traffic on the road from runners warming up.  Make sure to pick up your bib with enough time to get yourself to the start line!  Bib pick up in the Yurt closes at 5:40pm.

Awards: Immediately following the last finisher, there will be a brief award ceremony on the Yurt deck with prizes and a random bib-draw raffle!
